The Host Committee’s mission extends beyond a single event.
It exists to pursue and support a continuing series of large-scale Events across Dallas in addition to hosting the Midterm convention.
Dallas has recently successfully hosted a number of events including the NCAA Men’s Final Four (2024) and College Football Playoff Game (2025) which generated substantial direct spending, tax revenue, and media attention. Dallas is currently hosting FIFA World Cup matches and will host the 2026 Midterm Convention. Building on that momentum, the Host Committee will identify, pursue, and support additional events of similar or greater scale.

How is the Host Committee Different from the Republican National Committee?
The Dallas Host Committee 2026 is a separate charitable organization established to support Dallas as the host city for the 2026 Midterm Convention. While the Republican National Committee is responsible for planning and conducting the Convention and its political activities, the Host Committee's role is to showcase Dallas through hospitality, volunteer coordination, community engagement, local partnerships, and visitor experiences.
The convention will take place on September 9 and 10, 2026 at the American Airlines Center. Tens of thousands of convention delegates, volunteers and members of the media will travel to Dallas for the convention from around the country. Many guests will choose to come early and stay late so that they can experience everything Dallas has to offer.
